Cast & Creatives

PHILIP CORSO (Player 3) is extremely happy to be returning to the cast of Bartholomew Fair, NJ. Going into his junior year, he is continuing to earn his BFA in Acting at Montclair State University. This past semester he appeared as Bill in the MSU Theater Department production of All in the Timing. He also recently appeared as Rocky in The Rocky Horror Show with MSU's Players Club. Past favorite roles include Philip’s Perry-nominated performance as Motel Kamziol in Fiddler on the Roof and the Mysterious Man in Into the Woods. Phil would like to thank Billy for a wonderful opportunity, his castmates who are all awesome to work with, the elusive Sean McClafferty and his astounding pinwhistle, and his mother for supporting him in everything he does. In addition, he continues to stand right behind you. Continue to not turn around. |

LETICIA DIAZ (Player 2) is overjoyed to be rejoining this glorious cast. Recent credits include: Katrina in Naked, Lynn in Bludgeon the Lime, Benvolio in Romeo & Juliet, as well as her critically acclaimed role of "Mom", now 12 years running. Thank you Billy: for every little chance. Deepest gratitude for my support group of crunchy brownie biters, used car salesmen, twitter-folk, generous strangers, marching mermaids & my sweet, sweet Naked Girls: every little bit of you is here with me. Tickles for JOO: I look forward to more space walks. Everything - always - for Nino. )O( |

MARK DUNN (Player 5) is very excited to be returning to Bartholomew Fair, NJ after having such a great time with the production last summer. Mark recently appeared as "The New York Times" in the Strawberry One-Act Festival original short play I Knew You'd Say That by John Kearns. Most recently with The Theatre Company, Mark played Jacob Marley, Fezziwig, and others (A Christmas Carol), a Wickersham Brother (Seussical), Officer Lockstock (Urinetown, the musical), and Richard (Free to Be…You and Me). With the Firebone Theatre Company, Mark had the honor of performing in a stage reading of Ron Reed's play Refuge of Lies in Fairfield, CT with Joanna Gleason, Keir Dullea, and Mia Dillon. Mark would like to thank Billy for another fantastic opportunity, and Dave, Carl, Robert, and Christine for their tireless support of this production. Sean, what can I say? You're the man! Mark would like to dedicate this performance to his wife Bridget. I LOVE YOU! |

BENJAMIN HOLMES (Player 1) is extremely pleased to have the chance to abuse sock puppets for the second summer in a row. For those of you wondering where you've seen a mustache that spectacular before, Benjamin would like to point out that he has appeared locally in the last two productions of A Christmas Carol (both times as Ebenezer Scrooge), last year's inaugural production of Bartholomew Fair, NJ (in the same roles, no less), All in the Timing (Bill, Don), and Urinetown, the musical (Senator Fipp), so one of those may be the source of your recollection. He has been in a great number of other things, but you don't care about them because you're an up-to-date, happening individual who lives in the here and now, not the there and then. Suffice it to say, the things you don't know about Benjamin's oeuvre won't hurt you. Benjamin dedicates his performance to E.E.H., who would probably be a little skeptical of Chester's wardrobe. He hopes you are moved by Juicy Fruit. |

COURTNEY KOCHUBA (Player 4) is beside herself with excitement to jump back into the fanciful world of Bartholomew Fair, NJ! She had 'the bestest time' last summer with this hilarious cast and crew, and is thrilled to return. Recent credits include: Off-Off-Broadway: Michael Chekhov Theatre Company's Happy Hour (Featured Performer); Regional/Community: Hudson Theatre Ensemble's Comic Potential (Dress Shop Asst./Prostitute), DeBaun Center's Patrick & Lisa's Wedding (Lisa). An alum of Carnegie Mellon University (B.A. Creative Writing), Courtney has also appeared in productions by 13th Street Repertory Company, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Rauh Conservatory Theater Company and Scotch'n'Soda Theatre. As always, she gives endless thanks and love to her Lorelai, Choochie, mwj and the most amazing friends for which a gal could ask. |
 |
BILLY MITCHELL (Author/Director) - Recent directing credits include A Year With Frog And Toad, The Who's Tommy, Free to Be...You and Me, Seussical, Into the Woods, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Off the Beaten Path, Noon (all with The Theater Company); Jeffrey, Design for Murder, the premiere production of Life, Death and Vermont (at the Attic); and in NYC: Love, Punky (Midtown Int’l Theater Festival), In Search of Tulla Berman and Who’s On First? for No Kneecap Prods.; Sunrize Highway’s Live from New York (at Elmo), Khaki at Bat (at HERE); and The Owl and The Pussycat (at Shetler’s Blackbox). Billy is the creator of A Gorey Phantasy, adapted from unpublished writings provided by late author/illustrator Edward Gorey; and the author/lyricist of Mad King Ludwig, a musical of the final days of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. |

SEAN McCLAFFERTY (Stage Manager) - has been 'Jersey Born and Livin on' for the entirety of his life. He rarely uses his degree in Literature but has been stage managing here and there (NY, NJ, ME) for the better part of the past decade. He met his wife Liz on a stage and proposed to her on that same stage four years later. Hopeless romanticism aside, Sean knows that he is beyond fortunate to have fallen in with this talented group of actors and the one man tornado of creative endeavors that is Billy Mitchell. Sean aspires to a great deal so stay tuned. He urges all to remember: "All empty souls tend to extreme opinion." |

CHRISTINE DALZELL (Props & Costumes) - is thrilled to be reprising her role as "proptart" with Billy, Sean and the fabulous Bart Fair cast. It is not often that one gets to delve into the seamy underworld of sock puppets and she thanks Billy for bringing her that opportunity. Christine can also be found lurking backstage with Jersey City's Attic Ensemble. Much love and thanks to Mark, Gibson and Zeta. Limericks rock! |
